Day 2 on 21 Day Fix


Day 2 went as well as day 1!

Breakfast:  Whole wheat wrap with an egg and turkey sausage

Breakdown: 1 red and 1 yellow

Mid morning snack:  cottage cheese, tomato and avocado

Breakdown: 1 red, 1 green and 1 blue

Lunch:  Pumpkin Pie Shakeology (vanilla Shakeology, 8oz water, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice), grapes and sunflower seeds
Breakdown: 1 red, 1/2 purple and 1 orange 

Mid Afternoon Snack:  pear with 2 tsp cashew butter
Breakdown: 1 purple and 2 tsp

Dinner:  Spaghetti Squash with tomato sauce, turkey, marinated mushrooms and carrots
Breakdown:  2 green, 1 red

I did have some low fat cheese before dinner also.  So I went over on my blue by 1 today.  But I knew my body needed a little something.

I got all my water in and my workout today was Upper Body Fix. I'm loving these 30 minute workouts that really work your body!

1st Day on 21 Day Fix

So I know I played with starting 21 Day Fix some last month but now I'm going for the full 21 days!

I'm so excited to complete this program.  I've seen some friends really rock this program and lose anywhere from 8-15 pounds over the 21 days!  I can't wait to see my results!

I'm also stopping my Turbo Fire workouts and doing the 21 Day Fix workouts so I can give you accurate results from the whole program!

21 Day Fix is a portion control program.  It comes with color coded containers that you fill up with food that goes in that container.  Each container is assigned a food group.
Yellow is carbs
Red is protein
Purple is fruit
Green is vegetables
Blue is fats
Orange is seeds





Breakfast today was eggs over asparagus with half of a whole wheat English muffin and strawberries
Breakdown is 1 red, 1 green, 1 yellow and 1 purple

This was so filling I never had a snack in between breakfast and lunch.

Lunch was sugar cookie vanilla Shakeology.  1 packet vanilla Shakeology, 8-10 oz water and 1/4 tsp of  princess cake and cookie extract (I got off amazon)
Breakdown was 1 red

Afternoon snack I had cashews which is equal to 1 blue

Dinner was a salad with grilled chicken, apple and pecans.

It was so good!

My workout today was the cardio fix.  It was 30 minutes of calorie torching cardio!  It was an amazing workout!

Yummy Healthy Eats

I've got two yummy recipes for you today!

Breakfast:  Kashi Almond Flax Vanilla Shakeology!
I used a cup of almond milk, 1 pack vanilla Shakeology, 1/3 cup Kashi Almond Flax cereal and some ice!  Blended in my handy dandy vitamix!  Oh soooo good!  It was so thick, it reminded me of a cookout milkshake!  And all under 300 calories!  Perfect breakfast!

Dinner:  Spaghetti Squash with shrimp,  marinated mushrooms, carrots and a salad

I cut the spaghetti squash down the middle and then baked it for 40 min (cut side down) at 350,
Then I shredded the squash with a fork.  Very easy to do!  I threw some thawed shrimp in the sauce as it warming up.  It wasn't pasta but it worked for me as a replacement while I'm trying to lose those last few pounds!

21 Day Fix Starts on May 18!

So I've played around with the 21 Day fix containers for the past month or so.  Well it's almost pool and beach time so it's time to get serious.

My P90X3 Results

So I realized I never put my before and after pic up from P90X3!  And since it is on sale this month in a challenge pack I wanted to share my results!

Tada.......

This is what 30 minutes a day, drinking Shakeology and healthy eating will get you!

I'm still working on the lower half but my Abs and arms got there with this workout!

I think if I had cleaned up my diet even more my legs would have slimmed down even more.  But genetics plays a big roll in my lower half!  My family has curves.  Pear shape curves!  The booty, hips and thighs are the hardest for me to lose.

Thus the reason I'm combining Turbo Fire with Brazil Butt Lift for the next 8 weeks!  Turbo Fire is also on sale this month!


And I'm eating the 21 Day Fix way.  Portion control and the right amount of calories for me!

Foiled Workout Plans

So I've not had a good week workout wise.  I was not feeling good on Wed night so I skipped Abs.  Thursday I had a late night at work so I didn't get my Brazil Butt Lift workout in (so glad I got up early for my cardio)!  Friday I was spending quality time with my son and we got into a Bates Motel marathon and it was 11 before I knew it and I was way too tired to try to workout then.  Saturday and Sunday.   Well that's a whole different story.  We had a water leak a few weeks back (still haven't found where the water came from).  Well my hubby finally pulled up carpet and behold we have found black mold.  He spent most of the weekend tearing out walls and cleaning mold.  And guess which room this has affected?  If you answered my workout room you would be right.  And also my laundry room.

Sigh........

So I didn't get my workout in those two days either.

Not working out makes me sad.  Not as sad as seeing all my walls bring torn out and wondering how in the world we will fix all this though.

So this upcoming week and weeks forward till the rooms are fixed, I will be working out in my living room.  Not an ideal place but I will make it work.  I have too!  Not working out is not an option for me.

It's also going to be another beautiful week and I plan on getting outside and walking!  A lot!

Strawberry Milkshake I Mean Shakeology, or How About a Frosty!

I made a yummy strawberry Shakeology today!  It really tasted like I was sitting in the ice cream shoppe drinking a real strawberry milkshake.


1pack strawberry Shakeology
1 cup water
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
Frozen fruit blend (strawberries, mango, and peaches)

Yesterday I made a frosty!


1 pack chocolate Shakeology
1 cup water
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 frozen banana

Both of these shakes are great for meal placement and come in for less than 250 calories each!
