Some Yummy New Eats!

So you already know I love my PB2!  I use quite a bit in my shakes and oatmeal!  Well yesterday I found the choc PB2 at my Target!  I've been wanting to try it but didn't want to pay for shipping!


So for lunch today......

It was so good!  Strawberry Shakeology, 2 tbsp choc PB2, ice and 10 oz water!
175 calories!  I had a half of an apple too!  I was so full I could hardly finish my apples!

Snack this afternoon was sunflower seeds and raisins! I had 1/8 cup or 1 yellow if doing 21 Day fix

Dinner.....

Hubby cooked dinner and man was it yummy!
Simple and sweet!  He grilled out tonight!  The veggies he made in a foil pack with 2 tbsp of Italian vinaigrette for the entire pack.  He had squash, mushrooms, onions, sweet peppers and carrots. He let them cook for about 45 min on the grill.  This was so good!  I think I'll let him cook it again! 😉 

Not sure about the calories in this one but the 21 Day Fix containers are 1 red, 1 blue, 2 green

Exercise today was simple.  We went walking with this beautiful fall like weather we are having in July!  I'm loving it!  Going to have several more days of it!  Yay!

Happy Birthday to Me!

So I had to create a shake I could drink for my birthday!


Introducing the birthday cake Shakeology!

One scoop vanilla Shakeology, 8 oz almond milk, 4 oz water, 2 tbsp sf cheesecake pudding mix, splash of princess cake flavor (found on amazon but it's also at Walmart in the cake supplies, over near  party supplies) and ice!  I topped with some sprinkles for fun and flare!

So good and less than 300 calories!  Sooooo good!  Even my little girl said it tasted like birthday cake!  

My up by took me out for lunch so it's back to 21 Day Fix tomorrow!  And my PIYO should ship tomorrow too!  I can't wait to incorporate it into my workouts!

A Few 21 Day Fix Meals

So I started back in 21 Day Fix this week.  I had been slacking on my eating the past few weeks and the pants feeling tight were the proof!

I've using a lot of the meals I used before and I'm already down 2 pounds.  


But I have added some new meals too!

Pizza burger!
Not sure if I've posted about this veggie burger before or not!  It's soooooo good!  I got them at Trader Joes!  Easy to fix!  Warmed up in micro for a few minutes!  I spread little bit of laughing cow cheese ontop and it was so good!  Served with a side of marinated mushrooms and a salad!

Equal 1 red, 2 green and 1/4 blue!


Quinoa Veggie Mix with Chicken

Another Trader Joes find!  Quinoa and veggie mix.  It has zucchini and carrots and a little bit of spice!  It was in the freezer section and I warmed up and have gotten two servings so far and there is still some left.  I had this with roasted chicken and extra carrots!

Equals 1 yellow, 1 red and 1 1/2 green

Healthy Egg Salad

I love egg salad, but don't love all the calories and fat mayo adds and I don't do fat free mayo!  Yuck!  So I used Greek yogurt and 1 whole hard boiled egg and 1 extra egg white.  The Greek yogurt was maybe a tablespoon, a squirt of mustard and tsp of relish!  I knew I was having the quinoa for dinner so I didn't want to use a yellow on bread so I used cucumbers and dipped them in the egg salad.  I was going to make cucumber sandwiches but the egg salad slid off the cucumbers.  I also had some grapes with this!
Equals 1 red, 1 green and 1/2 purple

I was drawing a blank on what kind of shake I wanted this morning so I asked my daughter.  Her creation was amazing!  Strawberry/Banana PB!

I'm loving the creativity I'm coming up with, with this program!

A Few Shake Recipes

So I switched my Shakeology to Greenberry from Strawberry for this next month.  It just came yesterday so I had to try some new shakes!


The first one I've had before.  It was the Shamrock Shake!  I tried it when I had a sample pack of Greenberry.  That shake is the reason I decided to change for shake flavors!  

Greenberry Shakeology, 8-10 oz water, 2 tbs PB2, 1 tbs SF cheesecake pudding mix, splash of peppermint extract and ice

Staying on Track!

What do fit people do to stay on track?

I'm gonna share some tips today and I hope they help you with any areas you have trouble.

1.  Always start your day with breakfast.  Many people try to lose weight by skipping meals.  That will only set you up for over eating later in the day.

2.  Include protein at every meal.  Protein last longer in your belly and keep you feeling fuller longer.

3.  Drink water.  Divide your body weight in half and that's how much water you should be drinking every day.  Example: if you weigh 140 you would drink 70 oz of water a day.  If plain water is not your thing you can always add fruit to it.  I like to freeze fresh lemon juice in ice cube trays and then add one to my water bottle.  Also frozen berries add a nice flavor as well.

4.  Eat small meals several times a day rather than 3 big heavy meals.  I eat about every 3 hours.  Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, and then dinner.  Some times if I'm really hungry after dinner I will have a small under 100 calorie snack.

5.  Keep trigger foods out of the house.  If you have unhealthy food in the house you are more likely to grab it when your hungry.

6.  Keep healthy food available.  I like to open my fridge and see fresh fruit and veggies washed and ready.  I do suggest though not to buy too much at one time.  Fresh fruit and veggies won't stay good for long.  Some will last longer than others.  Apples for example, will last longer.  Also find a grocery store that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for produce.  I love going to Aldi and Trader Joes for my groceries.  The prices there are much cheaper than other stores.

7.  Don't try fad diets.  I use to be a slave to the diet if the week.  I tried low carb, low calorie and low fat.  Sure they worked for a bit, but then I would gain it back once I stopped.  Now I try to eat as healthy and clean as possible and drink my Shakeology once a day.  

8.  Exercise daily.  Exercise doesn't have to take hours.  Most of the workouts I do are only 30 minutes.  Which is great for busy moms.  I don't have time to drive to the gym, workout for an hour at least, then drive home.  Find something you love and you will look forward to working out.  One of my favorite workout programs is Turbo Jam.  It's a dancey kick boxing type workout!  


9.  Fill up on the veggies and fruit first.  They are filled with fiber and have less calories than the protein and carbs.  

10.  Divide your plate up.  It should be divide in half first and then the second half should be divided in half again to make three sections.  One large and two smaller ones.  The large one should hold your veggies and the two smaller ones should hold carbs in one and protein in the other.

Day 2 on Shakeology Cleanse

On day two and going great!

I've got several recipes to share with you.

Strawberry lemonade Shakeology

Strawberry Shakeology, few frozen strawberries, juice of 1/2 lemon (I freeze lemon juice ahead of time and use them in shakes or water bottles), 10 oz water and ice

This is a great shake to have for breakfast as a detox to start the day!

Apple Pie Shakeology

Vanilla Shakeology, 1/2 of a pack of apple-cinnamon apple sauce, cinnamon extract to taste (I used a drop), 10 oz water, ice


Salad with nitrate free turkey and walnuts.

Homemade tomato and broccoli soup.  I made in my vitamix!
1 cup chicken broth, 1 large tomato cut up, couple broccoli florets, sprinkle garlic powder, sprinkle onion powder, 1/4 cup shredded cheddar
Put in order listed and start vitamix on low then switch to high for 5-6 minutes!  Comes out steaming hot!  Makes two and half cups.  Each cup is under 90 calories!

Shakeology 3 Day Cleanse

So did you eat too much over the 4th?  I know I did!

Yummies!

In case you have noticed I love trying new recipes and creating my own!

Healthy eating can be really good.  Most people just don't give healthy eating a chance.

Stick with me and I will show you lots of yummy foods!


Strawberry Shakeology with frozen orange, 1/2 frozen banana, 8-10 oz water and handful of spinach and a 1/2 of an apple as a side


This was really good.  I took some white fish and put in a foil pack with a couple tablespoons of mango salsa ontop.  Cook for 15 min at 350 and let the steam out before you open all the way after it's done.
I also had marinated mushrooms and quinoa Mac n cheese.
1/2 cup cooked quinoa, 1 wedge laughing cow Swiss cheese and 1 tbsp of shredded cheddar.  Warm together and stir till mixed.  Oh my I was in heaven!

Cookie Dough?  

Well almost.  It tasted like it!  1 small container of Greek vanilla yogurt, 1 tbsp PB2 and a sprinkle of choc chips!  Mix together and enjoy!
