Life Happens

I love that with changing your eating habits rather than following a diet you know it's ok if you slip up.  I have followed the low carb diet several times over my many years of trying to lose weight. Did I lose weight?  Yes I did.  But I also could blow the whole diet if I ate one bad meal.  :(. That would turn into a major downfall for me, as I would keep eating carbs because I was depressed I ruined my diet.

Now I eat clean, or as clean as possible I should say.  I'm playing with the 21 Day Fix containers and learning the right amounts of the right foods to eat.  I did great for several days this week.  I also had some days where I didn't do so great. I didn't beat myself up over it.  I just know that tomorrow is a new day and I can choose to either eat good or eat bad.  I am choosing to eat good.  I have a swimsuit that I want to wear this summer.  

I think one of the biggest eating mistakes people can make when they want to lose weight is to restrict themselves of certain foods.  I craved pasta like crazy while I was doing low carb.  So I learned that I can still eat pasta and be healthy as long as I eat the right portion.  Gone are the days of filling my plate with pasta like I'm at an Italian Restaurant.  I use my handy dandy 21 Day Fix container and put my pasta on my plate.  I enjoy my favorite food and I don't feel deprived!  

Enjoy your favorite foods too!  Just do so in moderation!
